In the Civil War trailer, the biggest question is how the Western forces have been able to become so militarized that they have military-grade planes, Humvees, guns, and supplies. Another question is which side is fighting for the right reasons. This makes me wonder who is giving the Western Forces such high-tech gear, which could be a third party or a force that is privately funded. New York City is bombed from above in the trailer, which shows that the U.S. military is fighting for the President.

Photographers, played by Dunst and Moura, are the main players in Civil War. They are probably trying to record the events as accurately as possible. According to the video, journalists were being killed in Washington, D.C. This could mean that Dunst and Moura join the resistance or at least feel more at ease with the Western Forces. It looks like Offerman’s President is a Nazi ruler who wants to set up a totalitarian government. He seems ready to make his own country less stable in order to impose an anti-American nationalism in Alex Garland’s Civil War.
