With an estimated budget of over 20 million USD per episode, Three Body Problem is one of the most costly scripted programs Netflix has ever produced. I had high hopes for it when it premiered not long ago. With a science fiction plot running through the program and an extraterrestrial race named the Sunti threatening to invade Earth in the far future, let’s dive into what we learned from the series finale. Alright, then, let’s begin.
Presented below are three examples of body problem endings. You should be aware that this contains spoilers.
3 Body Problem The Ending Explained
Whether you consider them human or not—after all, they are just a brain—the staircase project was the driving force behind the show’s finale, and sending a human into space was its primary goal.
In doing so, we hoped to evade the Sunti, an extraterrestrial race with global dominance ambitions. Earth seemed like a safe haven to them, so they plotted its conquest. The original plan was to live in harmony, but when the Santi learned that humans are capable of deceit and lying—a trait that Evans exposed—they decided they’d rather conquer the world and claim it as their own while simultaneously eliminating their human enemies.
Being a member of a three-body star system, the planet from which the Santee originated was experiencing the three-body dilemma. In essence, the planet was snatched away by three separate suns, meaning it swung through the gravitational fields of all three. This caused eras of chaos, when species suffered and died due to the extreme conditions.
This is why the Santee responded to Ye Wen Jie’s message in the 1960s when he sent it out in China. By effectively inviting them to go towards the planet, she cast doubt on the world’s destiny. The planet they had made contact with was stable enough for them to settle down on.

Many had perished, but if even a single one had managed to stay alive, then they had all succeeded. Something that was repeated often during the show, and it highlighted the mental gap between that animal and humans. The show’s underlying themes and topics centred on human nature and the extent to which we are a selfish species.
As an example, we cut down trees that had lived for centuries and witnessed more than we could possibly fathom. An important problem that would affect generations after us was ignored. The concept of indifference toward environmental calamities, on the grounds that an individual should not be held responsible for the plight of future generations if they do not intend to procreate.
On top of that, we humans have a tendency to put our own needs ahead of those of other species. For example, when Will refused to pledge allegiance to humanity, we see that fellow humans shared this callous attitude. Similarly, Yi Wen Jie invited them because, after witnessing the public beheading of her father and her own treatment, she had nearly given up hope in humanity.

Like Will, she seen the terrible things that people could do to other people and imagined that maybe there was a superior race somewhere. That is, the reason the whole series of events began. Since the Staircase Project was a mission that was almost certainly going to end in death for Will, Wade saw him as the ideal subject to have his brain frozen and delivered to the area around the Santee.
Because his brain was frozen, the Santee could communicate in a roundabout way. He would thaw, gain knowledge about humanity, and reintegrate into his human self, so curing his illness. Unfortunately, the project was a failure because, during launch, one of the attachments came loose, causing Will’s brain to start going in the wrong direction. As a result, the brain would end up floating around in space for millions of years.
Is it preferable to merely die and have your brain float around for millions of years in the hopes that another creature finds it? That was another dilemma it raised. When removed from a human body, does a human brain no longer exist? If so, was that brain in the case still a human brain?
There’s no doubt that it makes you think. When it came to technological development, the Santee were light years ahead of their fellow humans. Nevertheless, the pace of advancement would have slowed for them because of their travels, which seemed to take nearly 400 years to reach, and since human advancement only accelerated with time.

The people would have advanced beyond their initial state upon arrival on Earth, according to this prediction. This would imply that they would be considered less advanced than humans rather than an advanced species. They were removing every scientist from the world for this very reason.
They were against human progress because they knew that as humans became more sophisticated, they would be able to eradicate the Santi. The Sofon, which the Santi invented, allowed them to accomplish this. They manufactured a pair and dispatched them to Earth.
A Sofon, a mind the size of the planet, is the basic weapon of the Santi. Because it can travel at the speed of light, it managed to reach Earth, where it planned to ensnare the planet in a delusion and feed it whatever it desired. It was also the reason why people could see the countdowns ticking away until they stopped working, why all the planet’s technology failed, why they called the species “bugs” in their messages, and why Tatiana was invisible to the cameras and reality when they looked on—all because the world was full of illusions and they were already in control.
Because of this, the Santee could perceive sound and sight as well. Because of its immense size, it possessed infinite knowledge and was constantly vigilant, allowing it to relay information to the species and enable them to take appropriate action. The failure of the staircase project put an end to humanity’s chances of ever learning anything about the species.

However, meanwhile, the United Nations was spearheading a project known as the Wolfazer Project. The three brilliant brains here were charged with devising a strategy to defeat DeSante in the impending conflict that the Earth would face. Everything was known to DeSante because of the Sophon.
Anything and everything happening on Earth, including potential dangers. The Wolfacer Project, then, chose three brilliant brains to operate independently of one another. The goal was to keep the Santi in the dark about what was happening and the dangers they would face. In addition, Saul was chosen as one of the participants.
When Saul announced he would not be a Wolfacer, he was met with a lot of mocking laughter. The reason behind this is that they didn’t trust him and believed he was trying to deceive them into avoiding him if the Santi were around. This occurred when they gave the order for one of their followers to assault him and attempt to have him killed.
However, for every one who was opposed to the Santi, there were many who were not; these were, in essence, the Lord’s armies. The people who adored the Santi did so because they considered them to be divine. For this reason, individuals such as Evans, Dr.
Everyone was behaving as expected, including Yi, Tatiana, and the assailant at the end. During Wade’s return flight, Sofon materialized before him, serving as a sobering reminder of humanity’s frailty and the fact that, at this very moment, they do wield some control over the world. Additionally, they expressed their eagerness to meet him in the future.

This alludes to the fact that he remained motionless for hundreds of years, only to thaw out for a week every year to make sure the project was still on track. Therefore, I anticipate that the upcoming season of the show will involve a time jump of some type. The last scene took place at a motel, where Jin and Saw were seen drinking away their emotions about the botched operation.
They thought about how the Santi referred to humans as “bugs” and how, according to our common perception, bugs are both inconsequential and annoying. However, Clarence rounded them up, loaded them into a car, and drove them to a location where a great number of flying insects were present. Here we witnessed their successful adaptation to their natural habitat, proving that despite human efforts to eradicate them for millennia, they remain unstoppable.
In this case, he said, humans are the bugs, and their mission is to find a means to beat the enemy and cling on to the planet. Similarly to how the bugs succeeded, thriving.

3 BODY PROBLEM Netflix Overall Review
This show was decent, in my opinion. If I’m being very honest, I had hoped it would be better. There were some rad parts to it, and I thought the pilot episode did a great job setting the tone that I thought should have persisted throughout. The science-fiction aspect of the headgear, the participation of Sofon, and the dominating presence began to dissipate, nevertheless, as the episodes progressed.
Furthermore, internal conflicts and emotions seemed to take center stage. Which, to some extent, I can understand, since the show’s central theme revolved around human nature. However, I felt like I was missing out on something because of it. In my opinion, the beginning was far superior to the conclusion. Honestly, I can’t think of a single thing wrong with the performances.
It was almost like a reunion, so it was obvious that the folks from Game of Thrones were involved. Among us were the Highest Barrow, Varys, Sir Davos, and Samwell Tully. I was also taken aback by the large number of British actors—some of whom weren’t really renowned in the performing world—who appeared in it.

Regardless, I felt the cast was outstanding; they all made us care about their characters and the hardships they faced. To a large extent, I attribute the success of this program to its cinematography. It accomplished what it set out to do—capture the sci-fi atmosphere—while looking absolutely stunning and polished.
Some of the visual effects were also really awesome, like the horrifying gore fest where everyone was being chopped to pieces and the ship collapsing into nothingness. The music in this show was also really good, in my opinion. I still vividly recall the terrifyingly harsh music that would play in the background every time the countdown would show on the screen.

The feeling of dread, panic, and fear was conveyed brilliantly. I have a strong feeling there will be a second season, even if Netflix hasn’t confirmed it. The show is based on a trilogy of books, and I have a feeling that things are going to work out for it because it is currently sitting at number two on Netflix’s charts.
That wraps up our three bodily problem endings.
