Because of the knee injury he sustained the previous year, S.Coups, who is a member of SEVENTEEN, has been spared from military service.
PLEDIS Entertainment made the following official announcement on March 1: “S.Coups underwent surgery to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament and the anterolateral ligament in his left knee joint. This was due to a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee joint.” Because it was a big operation, he has been participating in physical rehabilitation treatment for a considerable amount of time, beginning the previous year and continuing up until the present day.
The agency continued by saying, “As a consequence of this, he was assigned to the fifth grade.”
In accordance with the conscription system of South Korea, males who are in the fifth grade are excused from being required to do military duty during times of peace. In the event that there is a war, they are obligated to carry out labour in order to provide assistance for the military.
According to PLEDIS Entertainment, in response to allegations that SEVENTEEN was getting ready to make a comeback in April, the company stated, “We will make an official announcement regarding [SEVENTEEN’s] precise comeback schedule at a later date.”
While this is going on, PLEDIS Entertainment recently made the announcement that both S.Coups and Jeonghan would be returning to their group activities this month, beginning with the forthcoming encore show that SEVENTEEN would be doing in Incheon.
