Solo Levelling: Arise’s New Webtoon Introduces “Cursed” Dark Healer Isla

A new webtoon featuring Dark healer Isla Wright and the unexpected reappearance of a previously introduced cast member are part of the most recent Solo Levelling: Arise game update, which also introduces a brand-new character.

Continuing with its “Hunter: Origin” narrative series, developer Netmarble has unveiled the most recent update focussing on the game’s original hunter, Isla Wright, in Solo Levelling: Arise. Before a pivotal event in her life makes her reconsider her viewpoint, Isla thinks she was cursed from birth, having endured bullying and exclusion. Charlotte and Harper, two other original hunters, made their debut in September with their own webtoon series, and they join Isla in her webtoon. Along with canon characters like Go Gunhee, chief of the Hunter Association, “Hunter: Origin” gives backstories for characters added to Solo Levelling: Arise. Although no other characters have received sequels as of yet, Charlotte and Harper’s second chapter was noticeably unfinished, and Isla’s narrative now shows that they’ve built a strong friendship and partnership. The Hunter Analysis File that Isla has also revealed the voice actor of the Dark-attribute Healer, “The Amateur Fortuneteller,” is Lexi Fontaine. Fontaine is well-known to fans of her work from role-playing anime series like Tokyo Revengers, games like Arknights, and anime series like Komi Can’t Communicate, where she played characters like Luna, Hyakume, and Nana Onemine, respectively.

Following the publication of the most recent Solo Levelling webtoon, Arise, the English-language sequel webtoon series to the first Solo Levelling manhwa, Solo Levelling: Ragnarok, was unexpectedly released. A debut teaser trailer for Ragnarok was released, and the anime will be serialised weekly on Tapas leading up to the second season premiere in January 2025. The English-subtitled trailer for the upcoming ReAwakening compilation film, which will feature a special peek of the first two episodes of Season 2, was recently released by Crunchyroll.
